Lowell Elementary
Lowell Elementary School has exceeded growth expectations for three consecutive years, a reflection of strong instruction and student success.
To support academic growth, we have two reading specialists who work with students needing help in reading and comprehension, and we offer after-school math tutoring twice a week during the spring semester to provide additional support where it’s needed most.
Providing care for students at school
Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

Beginning June 1, Gaston County Schools is offering its annual summer nutrition program at community sites across the county.
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2026-27 school year is open. Families can complete the application by visiting the registration page.
Six employees received the most prestigious awards presented by Gaston County Schools during the Evening of Excellence ceremony.
Five outstanding educators are in the running to be named the Gaston County Teacher of the Year for 2026-2027.
